What is VIDYA?
VIDYA is the educational and literary platform of Shhalaj Publishing House — a home for reading, writing, learning and creative expression. It brings together the discipline of a publishing house with the openness of an educational initiative, so that people of all ages, and especially young people, have a structured way to learn, express themselves and be heard.
Why VIDYA Exists
Many people, particularly children and students, have ideas and stories worth sharing but few structured opportunities to develop them, write them down and see them reach an audience. VIDYA exists to close that gap — connecting learning with writing, and writing with publishing, so that expression has somewhere to go.
Who VIDYA Serves
VIDYA serves students, schools, teachers, parents and independent writers across India. Its programmes are designed to be accessible to young participants while remaining meaningful for the educators and families who support them.
What VIDYA Does
VIDYA runs educational and literary programmes — beginning with Write for Right India — that guide participants from learning and writing through to publication. Over time, VIDYA intends to grow into a fuller platform for reading, writing and sharing knowledge, built one programme at a time.

Relationship with Shhalaj Publishing House
VIDYA is an initiative of Shhalaj Publishing House, the parent publishing organisation. Shhalaj brings its publishing experience and editorial standards to VIDYA's programmes, while VIDYA focuses on the educational and community side of that work — learning, writing and participation — before a selected body of writing reaches publication.
Future Direction
VIDYA's first public programme is Write for Right India, beginning with the Children's Anthology. As the platform grows, VIDYA intends to introduce further programmes for young authors, schools, teachers and workshops — each added deliberately, once it is ready.
